If things aren't safe at home

If someone in your home is hurting, controlling, intimidating, threatening, or scaring you, support is available.

You do not have to leave your relationship to get help. Many people come to us because they want the violence to stop, improve safety for their whānau, and create healthier relationships.

We support women, men, children, rangatahi, whānau, and people who recognise they need help to change their behaviour.

Refer yourself using the form below.

How we can help

We work alongside whānau to create safer homes and stronger relationships.

Support may include:

  • Support with family violence, relationship difficulties, anger management, conflict resolution,

  • Advocacy, practical assistance, guidance, and connection to other services.

  • Help navigating the Family Court and related processes including information and support with Protection Orders, Trespass Notices, personal safety alarms, and other safety-related options.

  • Assistance with immediate safety planning and response.

  • Ongoing Support from a dedicated Whānau Support Worker who can walk alongside you from the initial referral through to longer-term support.

Our goal is to support whānau to live violence-free and help break cycles of violence for future generations.

What happens if you contact us?

Making contact does not mean Police or Oranga Tamariki will be called.

When you contact us, we will:

  1. Listen to your situation.

  2. Talk with you about what support might help.

  3. Complete a safety assessment if needed.

  4. Work with you to decide the next steps.

Your information will be treated confidentially and shared only with the staff involved in supporting you.

Family violence affects the entire whānau

We work with people experiencing violence and people using violence.

We provide support for:

  • People experiencing family violence.

  • Children and young people affected by violence.

  • Whānau supporting someone affected by violence.

  • Men and others who want help to stop using violent, controlling, or harmful behaviours.

Wherever you are in your journey, you do not have to face it alone.
